Follow the Science Competition, Courage & More Confident Kids

SCIENCE was not only beneficial to the environment with the scientific work that created the researcher. Behind it there is an important value that grows on the children, namely self-confidence and courage in public.

Bringing baby to the competition science really have nothing to lose. Because the baby actually train their susceptibility to care about the environment with its findings. In addition, the children were far more confident when it finds what is socially acceptable. And equally important is the child to be more courageous because he is required to present his findings in front of a crowd, and a sense of unyielding for repeatedly designing these findings to be succes sfully used.

Junior Science Award (JSA) PT Kalbe Farma was initiated too. Although the main goal that is closer to science in a way children edutainment , on the other side was to bring the other side as confident, courageous, and never give up.

"The assessment was based jury on originality and courage. Beyond that, too, namely, how children can stand independently in solving the problem, "said Noble Budijarso as Chairman of the Committee to the 45th anniversary of Kalbe Farma, told reporters in Hong Lung Restaurant, Epicentrum Walk, Kuningan, Jakarta, recently.

JSA event held since 10 May-July 8, 2011 and has managed to hook the 199 works from 63 schools research. And hundreds of these works, the judging criteria is based on several points. First, the idea / notion that includes the reason the selection of topics, how the emergence of the idea, motivation, source of ideas, and innovation. Second, the process is judged from the process into a realization of the idea, including the involvement of a parent or teacher mentors, how to find the material, the courage to practice the theory learned, and how much the ability to overcome the difficulty level. Third, output how has the value of the benefit to society.

From these figures, the jury consisting of Prof. Dr. Jalal Fasli (Deputy Minister), Prof. Dr. H. Arief Rachman (Educators and analyst of Education), Dr Puspita Lisdiyanti (Researcher LIPI), Dr. Sudjatmiko SpA (K) Msi (Psychologist and Professional Growth), Dr. LT Handoko (LIPI Physicist and Researcher) chose 18 works best. And then of the 18 best works, the jury was set nine winners who will receive the award of PT Kalbe Farma in Jakarta Convention Center in conjunction with the event Junior Science Fair, 11 September 2011.
